Terms of Service
Effective September 6, 2026Last updated September 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Unsent and unsent.photos, operated by HMU, Inc.. By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Contact support@unsent.photos with questions.
Your account
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age applicable where you live. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement, you must have a parent or guardian’s permission. Use a phone number you control, keep verification codes private, and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity through your account.
Your photos and face data
You retain ownership of your photos. You give us permission to store, process, resize and deliver content as needed to operate the sharing features you choose. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and share content, including respecting the privacy of people pictured. Do not enroll another person’s face as your own.
Face matching is automated and may be wrong. Review pending matches and use manual sharing or change automatic-sharing settings as needed. Automatic delivery depends on your settings, uploads and service availability. Recipients can save copies of delivered originals, which can include embedded metadata. We cannot recall copies already saved outside Unsent.
Prohibited use
Do not upload or share illegal content, child sexual abuse material, nonconsensual intimate imagery, threats, harassment, impersonation, spam or content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not use the service for stalking, unauthorized surveillance, extracting other users’ data or bypassing security controls.
Reports and enforcement
You can report a photo or person in the app and block people. Contact support for urgent concerns. We may review reported content, remove content, restrict sharing or suspend or terminate accounts for violations, safety or legal reasons. A report is a request for review and does not guarantee immediate removal. You can contact support if you believe an action was taken in error.
Permissions and deletion
You control photo, camera, contacts and notification permissions through iOS. You can remove face enrollment, delete uploaded photos or delete your account from the app’s Settings. Storage cleanup is asynchronous. Removing enrollment does not remove photos uploaded by other people; contact us for help with privacy concerns involving those photos.
Availability and responsibility
Unsent may change, become unavailable or experience errors. Background processing and delivery timing depend on your device, iOS and network conditions. Keep your own backups of important photos. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or perfect matching. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will update their date. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the service and you may delete your account. For account, content or privacy assistance, visit Support.
